Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Last month I got pulled over for running a red light. Not only that but I did not have my license on me because it was expired. And I did not show proof of insurance. (I do have insurance but my father forgot to give me the most recent card, so I gave the cop the one I had in the car) anyway, now I have a court hearing arraignment on the 13th of December and I am obviously pleading guilty. My question is since not having a valid drivers license is a misdemeanor here in Sanford, florida, can they take me to jail? even if I go to the DMV and get a valid license before court?

It is not "obvious" you plea guilty. There are ramifications to having a criminal record, whether you go to jail or not. Before your court date, you need to sit down with an attorney and discuss your options. Only then can you and your attorney decide what is best and what will happen.
