Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I got pulled over for cutting through the gas station instead of waiting for the light to change and then turning the corner. Is this even a traffic violation? Because I think that such a maneuver is not against the law

It definitely is an infraction you can receive. Look at Fla. Stat. 316.074(2) where it says you can't avoid the intersection to avoid a traffic control device (i.e., a red light).
