Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I purchased a car on May 26 2012. I was told by a Clay County deputy that i could drive the car home as long as I did not put a bad tag on it and had the bill of sell in my possession why i waited on the title to come from Indiana.then on my way home i was stopped by a Bunnel Police LT. and he impounded my car and charged me $300.00 to get it back .I am under the Understanding that Florida law provides me with a grace period to get the car tagged as long as I have the bill of sell. Is this true and can I get my money back

Your grace period is whatever is reasonable. Driving home from the seller is OK. Driving around waiting for documents is not legal. You must wait until they arrive, get tagged, and then you'll be fine.
