Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I have a question regarding the use of a private dashcam, installed in a private car for private use of the owner (myself). The specific questions are:

1) Would I be in violation of any state or federal laws if there is both video and audio recorded? This is for both private citizens that happen to be recorded, as well as on-duty police officers. This is of course on public roads and areas. Do I have to disclose that I am recording if I am specifically interacting with a citizen or law enforcement officer?

2) Does law enforcement have the right to confiscate either the camera or memory card? If so, can they view old footage and possibly charge me with an infraction based on footage that is on the camera, unrelated to whatever reason I was pulled over?

3) In case of an accident, am I compelled to turn over camera evidence? Can they use any old footage not related to the accident?

For all these, I would like a reference to the controlling Florida statutes.

So what you're asking for is an attorney to do free legal research for you. That would be a violation of the terms of this site. I suggest you go see an attorney in person. Many will give you this answer to you for free in person. Good luck
