Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I ran over a directional control spike strip while entering a parking lot and am wondering if I have any legal recourse. Three tires were damaged. There was a No Right Turn sign before the turn but it was not until I wrongly made the turn that I realized there were spike strips. The distance from the corner curb to the spike strip was so short I didn't have time to stop in time. I was obviously at fault for making the right turn into the parking lot but I feel like it was a bit of a "set up". Little to no time to properly warn someone who wrongly made the turn to stop before hitting the spikes. As I was being towed the driver told me I was the 6th person that day (at 10am) who had been hit by these spikes. It seems like this large convention center is creating a nice side business for the tow companies and tire repair shops in the area.

You need to talk to a civil attorney about this. Traffic and criminal lawyers don't handle this kind of law generally.
