Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I've received a citation here are facts of what happened:

1. I parked my motorcycle in a electronic meter parking near hotel. ( I have paid for 1 hour, however it took me less then 15 minutes to return back( I have all the receipts ) )

2. As I went back (after 12 minutes) I've noticed that I've received a citation, on the citation reason of the citation was "not a motorcycle space" and violation section was "01/30-378D".

3. I have paid for a parking space!!!, and there was no "no motorcycle parking" sign anywhere, the motorcycle is considered a motor vehicle and is treated just like a 4 wheeled vichicle with few exceptions, I have NEVER received or researched the law that bans parking of "motorcycles" on "regular" parking spaces!!! Although there was a tinier then average "motorcycle only" space, the reason why I did not park there is because I have had irresponsible drivers damage my motorcycle before on those "mini" spaces. With all my years driving cars and motorcycles I've never had this kind of illogical citation.

So my questions are:

1. What Florida Statute is "In violation of sec: 01/30-378D" (legal sources and/or link and/or explanation)?

2. Is there a law that BANS motorcycles parking on regular public parking spaces in State of Florida? is it illegal to park in regular parking spot on a motorcycle?

3. What can I use in my defense.

4. If Q #2 is no, what case (if any) I can use to sue the Parking Authority and what for? or how can I file a complaint to get compensated for my time and stress?

As a motorcycle owner myself, I know of no STATE statute that forbids this. However, there could be a local ordinance that does. I suggest you contact an attorney in the locale where you got the ticket as they might be able to tell you if there is a local ordinance that forbids your actions.
