Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Received HOV violation. Did not see HOV sign and was only in the lane a short time due to an accident on I-95. Should I try to fight the ticket which is $166.00? The penality is rather steep for the crime...

Just about all fines are high nowadays as that how the legislature is trying to make up for budget shortfalls. In fact, the amount is now the second smallest for a moving violation. As far as fighting, you should talk to an attorney that knows that area and the judges to see if there is a way to get the ticket dismissed or keep points off for you. You can always elect the school too.
