Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I received a letter from a collection agency stating I owed a city in MS for a speeding ticket. I contacted the court, they called back several days later stating they had to find the paper ticket b/c then 2001, they did not go in to a computer system. I know I did not receive a ticket in this town. I asked the clerk if I could set a court date, she said no because I did not show the first time. On this letter from collections, it asked me to check a box of guilty or no contest, I'm confused. Am I legally bound to pay for a speeding ticket issued more than 10 years ago?
