Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
Received summons for court appearance for toll violation from 6 months ago-had no clue about this until received in mail today (3/27/13).Paid fee online and am wondering if I still have to appear in court? Violation occurred in Miami-Dade and I live 6 hours away on the west coast. Once I paid the fee, am I not in the free and clear now?

Which fee? The toll only? You need to pay fines and court costs. You should talk to an attorney because many people have their license suspended for non-payment or late payment of fines. So you might be in the clear but you need to investigate further by talking with an attorney.
