Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I received a ticket in 4/1988 for driving while license suspended or revoked in Duval County. I was a resident of Broward County at the time. I wrote a letter into the judge and received a disposition of guilty and paid my fine. I am now in the process of trying to get my record sealed on a unrelated charge and that 1988 charge is hindering me from doing so. Is there anything I can do to get that disposition changed or am I just doomed.

Doomed may be too strong at this point. However, the law is that once you get convicted of something, then you are forever forbidden from getting anything sealed. If there is any chance at doing anything about it, contact an attorney in Duval county to see if that conviction can be set aside.
