Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I was recently involved in a minor accident in a Walgreen's parking lot. I called the police only because the other party involved tried to leave the scene. When the officer arrived, he filled out an accident report and issued me a ticket for Improper backing. Can a police officer leagally issue a Moving Violation ticket on Private Property?

You actually raise an issue that few people are aware of; even lawyers who don't practice a lot of traffic/criminal law. They can only enforce it if they have an agreement between the police and the property owner. This is a complicated issue that has been interpreted by case law. I suggest you hire an attorney to fight this ticket. It will be worth it in the long run. Call or check out my website at helpgoodpeople.com.
