Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I was recently pulled over by the police and because I had no one to pick my vehicle, it was picked up by the towing company. I went to the towing lot two days later, paid the fees, and when they brought the car out I could not move it. I immediately called a mechanical savy to listen (over the phone) at the engine and he said "it seems the transmission is shot". My vehicle was obviously working when I got pulled over and after the tow it no longer can move. Who is responsible for the repair of my car?
1 Answer from Attorneys
You could either file a small claim against the police department or it may be more advisable to hire an attorney that handles CIVIL claims. This is not something handled by a traffic attorney which you filed this under, so make sure you contact a civil claims attorney.
