Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

What is the best way to resolve a traffic-related Warrant from years ago? I received a ticket for expired plates on my car parked at the airport (circa 2007). As the renewal stickers were sitting on the passenger seat, if this had been a traffic stop, I likely would have received a warning, but as I wasn't there, my vehicle got ticketed. I called the number on the ticket to ask how to resolve it without paying the fine. I followed the instructions given (which I have now forgotten what they were) and it did not get resolved as it showed up on my credit report. I didn't handle it then as it would reset the clock on the ding to my credit report. I have since received an official correspondence about a warrant associated with this problem. But now I am considering moving back to FL and need to fix this.

Most traffic tickets do not involve a warrant. There are criminal traffic violations but it is unclear which statute you were charged under. I suggest you contact an attorney to review your record and the correspondence to see what is the best course of action.
