Segways are so new that I do not believe that there are any laws which have been enacted regarding the use of one. Certain laws which are already in existence will have to be complied with including a minimum horsepower for certain roads and/or highways and the ban of the use of motorized vehicles on certain sidewalks.

I suggest that you check with your local police department(s) to see if any laws have been enacted in your area.
