Can i get pulled for going 56 in a 55? If so can i get a ticket in fla?I

As always, more information would be needed to give sound legal advice. However, if 55 is the limit, 55 is the limit; so, technically, yes you can get pulled over for doing 56, and you can get a ticket for the infraction. In reality, this doesn�t normally happen unless the officer is looking for a reason to pull you over to investigate some other activity the officer suspects you of, but lacks probable cause to detain you for. My guess would be that if you got pulled over for doing one mile over the speed limit you are either a minority, were leaving a bar, or driving through a �high crime area� where drug activity is suspected. If you came out of the stop with no other charges, I�d recommend appearing in court rather than paying the ticket. Without knowing more, my bet is that the officer won�t bother showing up. I don�t think he wanted to give you a ticket; I think he wanted to check you for DUI or search for contraband.
