Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I was stopped at a red light in Deerfield Beach in Broward County, Florida. Our seat belts were on and our music was low. A Broward Sheriff ran my plates and discovered my registration had expired. Was the officer allowed to do this without probable cause?

Yes. That's why the license plate is on the outside of your car - so the officer can run your plates.
