Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida
I was given a ticket for no insurance when I did in fact have insurance. I couldn't find the identity card at that moment but pulled it up on my phone. The officer came back with the ticket and I showed her my prrof. She told me to GI to the clerk of courts and pay a $10 dismissal fee, I went down there about a month later and they wanted me to pay the full ticket fee because I hadn't come there within 30 days. I now have a court date for this and pleaded not guilty. Did I do the right thing?

Obviously you should have gone down to the clerk within 30 days so that you could get the case dismissed, however at this point setting it for hearing is the right thing to do.
