Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

traffic court in Jacksonville, Florida

Officer wrote me a ticket for failure to yield. The other guy run a red light and hit me. My car is totaled. I Have the 911 tape with witness who says the other guy run the red light and hit me. My lawyer said the officer who attended at the scene is the only one who can contact and get my witness to appear in court October 10th.2007.

Is she right? Do I need another lawyer? Thanks.
