Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

traffic ticket state reciprocity

I'm a Florida resident vacationing in New York.....received 2 traffic tickets....failure to stop at a stop sign and speeding (10 mph over).....will Florida receive notification that this has happened? Will there be points involved?

Re: traffic ticket state reciprocity

There is an interstate compact regarding out of state tickets which Florida is a member of. Not only will Florida find out about the tickers, but if you do not pay the tickets they will suspend your license.

Trust me not only am I lawyer, but I am also a speeder :-) Needless to say I found about this interstate compact the hard way, not the law book way.
