Typographical errors do not usually invalidate a traffic ticket. However, if the mistake is so bad that you are not identified as the person (or car) receiving the ticket, you should contest it. You must contest the ticket within 30 days by requesting a hearing in court. You can get an extension of time if you pay a fee (call the clerk of court to know exactly).
