Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

warrant questions

I recieved 4 Tickets 3 years ago. I sent in the payment that was listed on the flyer I was given by the police officer. I was in the process of moving and never recieved a court date notice so i did not appear. All this was not known to me when I was pulled over by a st. trooper and was informed that my license was suspended. However I have learned that I have a warrant for failure to appear but was not arrested by the trooper. Does the warrant really exsist. And is there any way I can get this resolved with out doing jail time. I have a 2 year old daughter and I am the sole provider for her.

If the trooper told you that you have a warrant then you probably do. What reason would the trooper have to lie to you? If it impossible for any attorney to check the status of a warrant without knowing the person's identity. Accordingly, you should either go to the courthouse and view your record or hire an attorney to review your record and to help you resolve this mess. A good attorney should be able to keep you from having any possibility of going to jail.
