Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
3 years after your fathers death can you freeze the assets that were left in the will?

There is not enough information to accurately answer your question. Where the assets distributed to beneficiaries, if so, how? Was the Will Probated? Depending on what has occurred, your options range from none to several. Sorry I could not be more helpful; maybe another attorney can extrapolate more information.
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. If you are asking whether probate can still be filed, the answer is yes. You can use Summary Administration (an abbreviated and less expensive form of probate). As far as the assets, as time goes by assets have a way of "disappearing" so on those assets that can be ascertained can be probated. Keep in mind that not all assets need to go through probate so a review of the assets and how they are titled needs to be done. Should you have further questions or require assistance, please feel free to contact me.
I don't think your question can be answered without more information. If the will was not filed and three years have passed, then you can file for a Summary Administration. Regards,
