Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
May I add a note to my existing will to state that I want my sister to get my condo upon my death? What is the proper way to do this?

A codicil to a will is the best way to modify it. An attorney can help you modify your will. Regards,
Because it is real-estate, you must put it in the Will. If there exists a Will, the an amendment, which is called a Codicil, must be executed with the same formalities of a Will. I agree, with the prior comment, contact an attorney to amend the Will.
You need a codicil -- not a note.
add a codicil is the right answer. You might want to update you estate plan and can do it with little expense-look at my web-site at FloridaLegalServicesOnline.com. I hope this helps as there is a law library on my web-site as well as forms to create estate planning documents.
