Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

does an adopted child have any rights to contest a will or trust?

I was legally adopted as a baby and was left out of my deceased(adopted)fathers will and revocable living trust. There is question to his mental state and un due influence from his family, to leave estate to his named sake kin, including neices and nephews so do I have any legal grounds to protest these documents?

In Florida, adopted children have basically the same inheritance rights as biological children. If there was undue influence, you certainly can contest the will. Talk to an attorney about what makes you think there was undue influence. Good luck.

Legally adopted children typically have very similar rights as biological children. Proving undue influence can be difficult but you should speak with an attorney in your area immediately in order to preserve any rights you may have.
