Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Amount of time an Executor is responsible for a Will

After all conditions of a Will have been satisfied by the Executor such as dispursement of monies, and property from a Trust. How long after is the Executor still responsible for the contents of the Will. Do they have power over individuals that received something from the Will and can they impose restrictions or demands with what the individual should do with their share after it has been distributed. Keep in mind that all individuals in this scenario are 21 and older.

Thank you

Re: Amount of time an Executor is responsible for a Will

Once the assets have been disbursed the personal representative has no power over how the assets are used unless there is some specific provision in the will. In the normal scenario, once the assets have been disbursed and the creditors paid, the estate is closed and the job or the PR is over.
