assets ditribution in florida when one of the spouses dies.

i undestand the survivor gets the residence,but how is the remaining joint assets distributed?Does tha surviving spouse besides the residence gets 50%of the other assets?Thanks

The answer is a bit complex and depends upon how the property was titled and if all decendants are lineal decendants of both spouses. I suggest you contact an attorney to discus this. SEnd me an email if you like.
