As a beneficiary do I get the financial burden if I need a lawyer because trustee is denying me a copy of the will

As a specific devisee you are not entitled to the will. As a residuary beneficiary you are. Hire an attorney and let them sort it out. Yes, you may have to pay for that privilege, payable out of your share.
