Bequests

We have a person who left us assets by bequest and forgot to include it in the will. She died the end of December.

Can we still collect?

If the assets constituting this "bequest" were never actually included in the will of the decedent with each of you as named beneficiaries, then the bequest was never actually made and the assets which you believe were to be bequeathed to you were in fact actually not.
