what does my brother and i need to prove next of kin in tampa fl for our other brothers assets and all to have him cremated and to transport his remains and personal affects back to ohio. we are only next of kin. our parents are gone and he never married or had children. we are not sure if there is a will when we get to his place

The next of kin can direct the handling of the remains. as for his assets you will need to probate an estate to clear title in anything that was in his name alone. seek legal counsel.
