Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Buying grandmothers house

My grandmother is 97 and for health reasons moving in with her daughter & son in law. (We are in Florida)My husband and I want to buy my grandmothers home (still in her name-no trust or anything)My grandmother has three other children. All are in agreement of my husband and I living in the home, but because my grandmother is on medicaid, they don't want us to buy it and change her medicaid status (by showing income)The house is 85 years old and in need of a lot of work. My husband and I don't want to put money into a house that is not legally ours. I trust my family, but worry if in the future a nursing home may be required for my gramdmother. Any advice?

Re: Buying grandmothers house

This situation requires some additional info-when was your mother given medicaid, why, who applied, etc.I believe that while the other family members are in agrement you should act immediately.(especially considering her age).I would suggest you call me at my office or send me an e-mail telling me how i can contact you.
