Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

in case of death

First, MY Mother has passed away and my Dad isn't well. My sister and I would like to know if our Dad signs everything over to our other sister or her son, where do we stand? Do we have a right to a childs share? Should we ask for a portion or what is or will happen?
