Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

We wish to change the executor on our existing will, we were told it would cost $300.00. Is there a form we can do it ourselves since we already spend $450.00 for the will?

There are formalities that need to be followed. Find another attorney. Don't try it on your own. There are no executors in Florida. Only personal representatives. When did you make the wills ? If recent maybe the attorney will reduce the cost

Good morning, its unclear whether your speaking of a situation where you want to change the designated personal representative before, or after, a probate has been initiated. The procedure will be different depending on that answer. You may also want to have a look at the whole package (will/trust/power of attorney) and see if anything else should be amended/changed to maximize your financial resources and ensure you and your families wishes will be executed correctly. Hope this helps.

Was your will done outside of Florida or a long time ago,the quote could be for re-doing your will since there may be more changes needed than merely changing your Personal Representative. I would recommend getting another attorney to review your will and make note of specific recommendations.
