Can I legally change my will without hiring a lawyer?

It is not necessary to hire an attorney to draft a will. However, if this is a matter that is important to you and your loved ones, why dont you spend a relatively small amount to do this correctly?

Every legal procedure can be done without a attorney. You would of course have to study up on the subject and make sure you make no mistakes. Wills can be either extremely easy or horribly hard.

Yes. You are advised to review your present will if appropriate, then prepare a new will. For a simple will, there are forms available for purchase. Signing a new will which is witnessed by at least two persons will supercede the old will which should be destroyed. But, you are advised that most attorneys charge a reasonable fee for preparing a will which could be very important to your heirs. If the issues in the will are important, doing it right is worth the small fee.
