Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

When should I check on a will of a deceased uncle?

Uncle moved from Illinois 6 years ago to retire in Florida. He died in Oct 2004. We have not heard from his brother (my uncle) since the death regarding his will (3 months)? Approximately 10 years ago I was told I was in his will. How can I verify a will exists, that it is current? Also, what is the staute of limitation on contesting the will?

If there was a will it would be probated in the County where he resided at his death. Check with the court.
