Civil Rights for seniors

My aunt has been forced into a home without her consent by doctor and relative. She needs help to know her rights. They have taken over her property. She is a sick person, in her 80's and needs someone to interfer for her.

time is of the essence.

Is she competant? Is she able to understand and make decisions for herself? If she is then she can state her preference for a guardian to look after her and her finances. If she is not competent you could petition the court to be her guardian.
