Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Clarify Trust Account

Hi. I would like to find out if the money/property on a trust account is protected. For example, if I get sued, they won't be able to touch the money on a trust account, right? All I want is my money be protected if ever I get sued. Is the trust account the right choice for that? How do I setup one?

Re: Clarify Trust Account

Not all trusts, in fact most do not, provide protection from creditors. I strongly recommend you consult an experienced estate planning attorney to set up the right trust to meet your needs. If not drafted correctly, the trust may not provide the protections you intend.
