Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Conflicting Power of Attorneys

My father, who is in a nursing home, signed over POA to me in June. Just recently he signed over POA to my mother. Which one is valid? If I want to revocate my POA, how do I do that?

Re: Conflicting Power of Attorneys

If your father signed a standard POA, his subsequent POA revoked and therefore supercedes the previous POA to you. You do not have to revoke it since you are not legally obligated to

act or assume responsibility for decisions or managing his affairs. You may wish to merely deliver the POA to your mother so there is no issue regarding authority to act.
