copy of will/trust filed in florida court marked confidential

my mothers brother my uncle died 10/07 and i found out his deceased wife's deceased son's son is the administrator of the will and estate. I was told i am a executor to the estate also. we think some shady things happened here as he took out a $250,000.00 equity loan out 6 mo b4 he died. help ???

In Florda, the person in charge of the Administration of an estate is called a Personal Representative while in New York the term varies as to whether the person had a will or not. If there is no Will, the person is an administrator but if there was a will the person is the executor.

Initially, I would determine if your uncle left a will and whether you have any interest in his estate as his nephew. In Florida you can check the county records, usually the county the person died, online to see if any proceeding had been filed. If so, you might arrange to get copies of the papers that have been filed.
