Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

my dad passed away in 2008 and i just found out. I am his only child. I was not notified, by his wife. What can i do about this? Not sure if there was a will or not. I know they had property and cars. This happened in Florida, where he lived for along time.

It depends upon if he had probatable assets, a Will, and such matters. If everything was jointly owned between husband and wife, there isn't anything you can do. If some assets were owned solely in his name, there may be something you can do.

First, you should check in the county where he resided to see if anything has been filed in the probate court.

You may want to seek the help of a Probate Attorney.
