Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida
My dad recently passed. He has me joint on one account, beneficiary on another account, and me and my 3 siblings on 3 other accounts. His will says that he wants everything divided between the 4 of us. Does how the banks are set up supercede the will or does the will supercede how the banking accounts are. One bank says all that matters to them is how the account is set up that the will doesn't matter.

How the accounts are set up governs.
Your dad seems to have clearly wanted his three kids to divide everything equally. Is it really worth the bad blood to not follow his wishes even though, legally, you can get away from it. Why not honor your father's wishes and divide it regardless of how the accounts were set up. Do "the right thing" even if the law does not compel you to do so.
The registration of the accounts overrides the Will.
