Do you legally have to notify surviving estranged adult children of their parents death? Do you have to place an obit in the paper? They have chosen to cut any ties with us and we could care less.

Re: death announcement

No one would be required to notify estranged adult children unless they are heirs of the estate by will or statute, in which case the personal representative would have that duty.
