Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I divorced my husband in 1992. We had a mediators settlement agreement in 2004 whereby he was to satisfy 3 things: cash in the amount of 12,000., $80,000. from sale of joint property, and a $100,000. IRA. He gave me the $12,000. and the $80,000., but not the $100,000. IRA. He died recently in September of 2014. Do I still have a valid claim for the $100,000. IRA even though it has been 10 years since we mediated? We were officially divorced in 1992. He remarried in 2003; his wife died in 2009. We have 3 children and they are the adult beneficiaries of his estate and they are arguing against the IRA. Thanks in advance.

You should consult with a Probate attorney ASAP!!! You MAY have a claim against his estate, if the time for such claims has not passed. There is a very specific window in which claims must be filed and you will need legal guidance in that process. Don't delay.
