Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I need a document from florida. It is called an affadavit of small succession. The problem is I can't find that form for florida. My husband came from LA which has unclaimed funds from the unclaimed money commercial. So I checked myself and my husband. His came up but because he died in Florida the unclaimed website said that I needed to get that form from florida. Can you please help me and tell where can I get the form which is equivalent to the affadavit of small succession. Thank you

No such thing. If you have a claim as to your husband's restate, a Personal Fiduciary of the estate must be appointed.

I believe the form that is requested is an Order of Small Estate Succession. This requires the filing of a probate matter in Florida for the distribution of personal property. it will cost about $500 in costs and additional sums for fees if you hire an attorney. Depending on how much is in the accounts or which has escheated to the State this may be worthwhile. Good luck. Sorry for your loss.

You can file yourself a Disposition without Administration if you have the receipt for the burial and death certificate. The court can order the release of the funds. The filing fee is $231.00.
