Estate distribution without authority of Probate Court

Can an attorney, who is not appointed by a probate court as an estate administrator, distribute estate assets to ''beneficiaries? Or must any distribution of estate assets always be under the authority and approval of a probate court?

You have confused too many terms. Lawyers are not usually (in fact, hardley ever) apointed as an estate administrator. Assets are distributed in accordance with the will, the law and under court approval.
