Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Everthing held in joint accounts; Probate needed?

My mother recently passed away. My name is on all the bank accounts - savings and checking (has been for at least 1 year before her death). I am the named beneficiary of her IRA. She recently signed a quit claim deed on the house she owns over to me (with a life estate). There are no other property or monetary assets. The total value of all assets is less than $1M. Is probate necessary? Or do the account and real property automatically transition over to me?

Probate is not necessary. Suggest you rename all assets into your name alone. All you will need is a death certificate. Good luck.
