Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Executor of my sisters estate

My sister who lives in florida left a will naming me executor of her estate. I live in NY and nobody in the family objects to me. What do I need to do when I get to Fla. to start liqudating her accounts and sell her house. Time is a issue so I can get back home to my family in NY. Thank You

The will must go to probate so that a personal representative can be appointed. An attorney is required in Florida probate. Good luck.

You need to retain a florida attorney to open the estate and represent you as the executor. I have several estates that am am working on now. If you would like to talk to me send me an e-mail at [email protected] with a phone # to contact you.
