If you do not agree, then stop right here, and do not read any further.
First you take care of funeral arrangments and attend to necessary family mattes. Then, if there are assets, an estate will need to be filed. You should meet with a qualified attorney to discuss how to handle the estate. If comfortable, then provide all necessary information or make a list of what else is needed including certified death certificates of the decedent. The attorney will draft the necessary pleadings and guide you through the filing of the estate, the filing of the will, and all other matters including the distribution of assets.
