Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Family allowance

I lost a family member who named me as the executor, successor trustee and beneficiary. He recently married a woman and passed away 4 months later, leaving the will intact. I signed off as executor, being out of state, and Per Fla homestead law I lost pretty much everything. I have objected to a family allowance, which will eliminate anything left in the estate. If a hearing is scheduled to address an Objection, am I to appear or is it a closed process. I also would like to know as the beneficiary of a will the implications of receiving the Petition mail addressed ''individually and as successor trustee''. Thank you for your help.

What county is the probate? What is your relation to the decedent? You may have rights.
