Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

Family Trust

My husband passed away 8 years ago. His Uncle as asked me for a copy of his will to see his testimonial. His uncle is the the executor of my father in laws trusts. When I asked why he needed a copy of my husbands will he said that the attorney my father-in-law used was retired and he was updating my mother-in-laws trusts with a new attorney and they needed to see what my husbands testimonial was. That was the only answer I got. But I know better! Could it be that I was mentioned in the family trust also. We have 2 children together and they are well taken care of by my late husbands family. I now live in Florida, the state where my late husbands family lives is Illinois it this matters.

Re: Family Trust

Your husband's will is a matter of public record at the court house where it was probated. They can obtain a copy.
