Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My father has been a missing person for 30 years in the US and is believed to be in Chile. He has never once paid a dime towards my upbringing and my mother is still legally married to him. He comes from somewhat wealthy old British royalty. I have recently been contacted by a British Probate company that is looking for my father to give him his share of an estate that was left to him. Do I have any legal rights to this estate being that he is my legal father or does my mother being that she is still legally married to him and I have the documentation to prove this?

You will need to check with the firm that contacted you. I am presuming this is being handled under British law, and that their rules apply. If in fact you can prove your father is deceased - something under Florida law, then you might have a chance. Contact the people that contacted you.
